Co-op First Person Plafromer
Project Luna
Created in: Unreal Engine 5
Role: Level/ Game Designer
Overview:
Project Luna is an unreleased two-player platformer focused on teamwork and masterful movement to blaze through levels. You and a partner work together in a character-based world to reach the end goal and uncover the mysteries hidden throughout the environment.
Since the game is still in active development, I’m unable to share my work publicly just yet — but below are the core responsibilities I handled and what I learned during my time on the project.
Responsibilities :
Designed gameplay spaces to explore different approaches to linear and none linear level design.
Create gray box environments to validate charecter kits and abilities.
Created detailed design documentation to pitch new ideas and present gameplay improvements to leadership.
Participated in frequent playtests and design discussions to identify opportunities for iteration and problem-solving.
Built graybox levels and rapidly iterated on them weekly based on playtest feedback.
Conducted market research to gather inspiration for gameplay spaces and potential abilities.
What I Learned:
Working on Luna helped me level up as a game designer. Being on a small, passionate team of 4–8 people pushed me to grow quickly and wear many hats. I learned how to create clear and effective design documentation, ask focused playtesting questions, and apply feedback consistently.
I regularly blocked out multiple levels each week and iterated on them based on team feedback. This project reminded me how much I love working with people from different backgrounds, all collaborating to build something meaningful. As Luna moves closer to release, I’m excited for players to experience the game — and to share more of my contributions in the future.
